Oscar Colliar, composer

Born in Geneva, Switzerland to Scottish and French parents, Oscar Colliar is a film and concert composer, pianist, and organist. As a boy soprano, Oscar performed in multiple ‘live-to-picture’ productions with Ludwig Wicki, as well as appearing on French television and four commercial CDs. Oscar was organ scholar of the King’s School, Canterbury from 2019-2021, and of Trinity College, Cambridge, in 2021-2022, and received the highest possible mark in the Swiss ‘Entrada’ organ competition.

As a pianist, Oscar has won competitions in France and Switzerland, and was runner-up in the Manchester international piano concerto competition. His teacher is Leslie Howard, and he has worked with Heinz Holliger, Paul Badura-Skoda, and Eugen Indjic amongst many others. He has performed in the U.K., France, Switzerland, Italy, China, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, and has won several competitions for classical composition, including the Zürich Camerata’s Junior composition competition.

Oscar graduated with a first class honours degree (summa cum laude) from Trinity College, Cambridge, where he was generously supported by the Dr. Weir Legacy Award of the Keyboard Charitable Trust. He was twice made a Senior Scholar of the College for academic performance.

He has a penchant for fast cars and Art Deco architecture.
